Why is Safety and Security so Important?

London is a large, bustling city – and it seems like there are always new people to meet. This is wonderful when it comes to your social life – but it’s not necessarily a good thing when it comes to the safety and security of your building. When it comes to letting people into your office (where you may keep valuable data, documents or equipment) you need to be sure of everyone coming in and going out.

Here are some of the measures we put in place to ensure your office stays safe and secure:

All Staff Members wear a Uniform Provided by us

Visually, this lets you know exactly who works for Regional services. At a quick glance, you’ll know that anyone with our uniform is someone who has been ID checked and is trustworthy.

We Undertake Stringent Identity Checks

Before anyone is sent on a job with Regional Services, they will have gone through our security check process. This includes us checking copies of utility bills/bank statements (for proof of address),checking ID and their National Insurance Number, checking their legal right to work in the United Kingdom, and checking they have a valid passport too.

All people working with Regional Services will also need to either be a British Citizen, a European Economic Area National, or have an appropriate birth certificate or a letter from The Home Office confirming they are entitled to live and work in the UK.

Another additional measure we have put in place is through our payment. All Regional Services staff are paid via BACS transfer system, which ensures they have a bank / building society account to their name. We also carry out reference checks for past employment, and characters checks where possible too.

We hope that knowing the strict checks our staff go through will help give you peace of mind when trusting them in your office and around your assets. But saying that, if you feel you would like additional security checks for staff, we’re more than happy to help with this request. We understand that some offices / building in London deal with very sensitive information, and in these circumstances, additional checks can certainly be arranged.

All our Staff are Fully Trained

At Regional Services we do have a strict recruitment regime and training scheme throughout all levels. This is important because we want the quality of service to always be high, no matter how big or small the job being completed is.

You need to be able to trust that our staff are trained in the relevant procedures, or with relevant equipment – and offering this training ensures that they are. Our training manual is in compliance with Safe Contractors and (BICSc) The British Institute of Cleaning Science.

Direct and On-Site Supervision

Another important part of business safety and security, is ensuring that our staff have managers and supervisors present at all times.

We know from our experience in this industry, that constant supervision means better work and more efficient work. Our managers will be on-site regularly during jobs while the team are busy working – and they will ensure the job is constantly being done to a high standard.
